Are you an organized and detail-oriented person with a passion for supporting school staff and operations? Join our team as a Finance Officer, working at a school in Stockton and help create a positive and efficient school environment.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Help manage the school’s finances and budgeting with support being given from the school Business Manager
- Process invoices and handle payroll tasks
- Keep our admin and finance systems running smoothly
- Work with staff, parents, children, and governors
- Reconcile billing and nominal ledger codes, and manage direct debit payments
- Collate VAT returns
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with finance and office work
- Knowledge of SAGE 200 (or similar accounting software)
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
- Organized, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Friendly, professional, and able to communicate well with others
- Prior experience of working within the education sector is desirable, but not mandatory
- Experience in credit control or managing a sales ledger
