Maths Lecturer - Further Education College
Temp to Perm
Salary: £30 per hour
Hours: 7 hours per day, 5 days per week (term time only)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
We are seeking a committed and qualified Maths Lecturer to join our supportive college community. Our learners are often disengaged from traditional education, so we are looking for someone who can inspire confidence, build rapport, and bring Maths to life in practical, accessible ways.
About the Role:
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons to small groups of students
- Plan and adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
- Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment
- Work closely with pastoral and support teams to help students succeed
- Term-time only, full-time hours (7 hours per day, Monday–Friday)
About You:
- Fully qualified teacher (QTLS/QTS or equivalent)
- Passionate about helping disengaged or challenging learners
- Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
- Patient, adaptable, and creative in your teaching approach
