No experience of invigilating or working in education?
Don’t worry. We provide free training, so you can become a competent, fully trained invigilator in no time.
Exam invigilating suits anyone who wants flexibility in their working life as an alternative to full-time or part-time work. The role
Invigilators make sure examinations run efficiently, securely and with integrity. You’ll be part of a team that:
- Prepares the examination rooms
- Checks student identification and maintains attendance records
- Distributes and collects papers
- Upholds exam regulations throughout the session

- No previous experience or formal qualifications required
- Flexible work, with a choice of half days or full days

About you
You’re friendly, reliable and punctual, and you’re calm and empathetic towards students under pressure.
Things you need to know
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- You must have a valid enhanced DBS check, ideally registered on the DBS Update Service.
- We require a minimum of two references.
